CPSBilling.net has partnered with Cardinal Professional Services, Inc. to offer a wide range of products and services. Together, these organizations can provide services from simple claims filing for the home health provider, to full service patient accounts management for almost any type of practice. Established in 1993, the combined strength of these companies can accommodate the needs of almost any medical specialty, yet remains small enough to address individual requests.
Our patient accounts management service entails every aspect of billing
and collection for most any type of service you can charge in an office. Our
fee
is billed monthly, calculated on a percentage of gross income collected each month,
and based on specialty.
We arrange to pick up data from area providers each week. We load all the patient data and appropriate charge information into our system. Every claim is filed (electronically when possible), then monitored under the watchful eyes of our status department. Any claim that reaches the ripe old age of 30 days, is thrown a going away party by our status department. They promptly contact the appropriate insurance company and inquire on the reason the aging charge hasn't been claimed yet.
If the claim is pending information from the patient, then the patient is notified immediately by mail. If the claim is pending information from the provider, then we make the request to the provider, then forward that information to the insurance company making the request.
Payments are received by the provider's office. They are logged, organized and totaled. We are careful to balance with the log sheet, to make sure that our totals equal that of the provider. We file any secondary insurance claims, then balance bill the patient.
At the end of each month, detailed practice analysis reports are generated for the provider.
As an authorized ODJFS Trading Partner, we provide electronic claims filing services to Medicaid for Home Health Providers. Our fee is billed monthly, and based on the number of claims submitted.
HIPAA is the acronym for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. CPSBilling.net and Cardinal Professional Services, Inc. are responsible for implementing provisions of HIPAA.
The Administrative Simplification provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA, Title II) require the Department of Health and Human Services to establish national standards for electronic health care transactions and national identifiers for providers, health plans, and employers. It also addresses the security and privacy of health data. Adopting these standards will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the nation's health care system by encouraging the widespread use of electronic data interchange in health care.
